The Fleet Technology Trends Report Survey conducted for Verizon Connect by ABI Research, revealed that the number of fleets using GPS tracking technology stands at 72% in Australia and 69% in New Zealand in 2022, showing that it is a consolidated and growing solution for businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

This survey reported that GPS fleet tracking technology is key to help deliver results and can boost competitiveness and build resilience for all the principal industries.

Fleet management technologies such as GPS tracking, in-cab video or asset tracking are increasingly implemented in all businesses regardless of their business size. 

While we can see that GPS tracking continues to lead the ranking of fleet management systems in small, medium and enterprise businesses, we can also see that field service and in-cab video technologies are increasing overall.
