Alerts
A complete list of the Alerts that are included with Verizon Connect Reveal.
Geofence Alert A vehicle has entered or exited a geographical area identified by the user as important (e.g. a customer’s home or a business’s office location). |

Speeding Alert A vehicle has exceeded a set speed or has exceeded the posted speed limit by a user-defined threshold. |
|
Idling Alert A vehicle has been on, but not moving (idling), for longer than a set threshold, as identified by the user. |
|
Video Alert An alert will be triggered for a video if a driver uses harsh acceleration, hard braking, or hard corning, or if a collision has been detected. |
|
Activity Alert A vehicle is being used outside driving hours, as determined by the user (e.g. 6am-8pm). |
|
Diagnostic Trouble Code Alert When a vehicle registers a diagnostic trouble code (activates, deactivates, or both). |
|
Harsh Driving Alert A driver has used hard braking, quick acceleration or harsh cornering. |
|
HOS Violation Alert A driver has exceeded an Hours of Service (HOS) parameter. |
|
Ignition Alert A vehicle’s ignition has been turned on or off. |
|
Inactivity Alert A vehicle has been inactive for a set period of time. |
|
Late Start Alert A driver started work late, based on user’s parameters (e.g. start time of 7am). |
|
Long Stop Alert A vehicle has been stopped for an excessive amount of time (e.g. 5 days). |
|
Panic Alert Activated when the driver presses a panic button to signal the driver is in distress. |
|
Sensor Activation Alert An on-board sensor just turned on or off. PTO is a common one. |
|
Towing Alert A vehicle is being towed. |
|
Unassigned Vehicle Alert There is vehicle activity, but without an assigned driver. |
