Actually, according to the Fleet Technology Trends Report Survey conducted for Verizon Connect by ABI Research, researchers reported that the percentage of fleets using GPS vehicle tracking technology stood at 71% in 2022, a 3-percent increase from last year. This shows that it’s a consolidated and growing solution for businesses in Europe.

GPS tracking is the fleet management technology most utilised in the UK and Europe for the second year in a row. In second place we found in-cab video to be the most utilised technology. It’s an integrated camera that provides first-hand knowledge of what is happening on the road. In-cab video can help analyse drivers’ behaviour to clarify the facts in case of an accident. Video also protects your business from false claims, helps to coach your team and promotes safe driver behaviour.
And in third position relating to the most utilised fleet management technologies in the UK and EU was asset vehicle tracking. This technology helps fleet managers to monitor assets in near real-time, improve asset utilisation and security and easily boost productivity in the field and at the office.
