Building a business case for MRM

By Sergio Barata November 21, 2017

Latitude, our flagship event for transforming the mobile workforce, took place last month in Dana Point, California.

There, we enjoyed some great insights and discussions with our clients and partners. In a panel session with four of our customers, fleet owners discussed their experiences with our Enterprise platform. They discussed some unexpected benefits of telematics, which help create a strong business case for adopting the technology across your fleet.

A great example came from Balfour Beatty, an international infrastructure company headquartered in London. When first working with our organisation, senior management were sceptical about the business benefits of the technology. Doubts were soon put to rest when they witnessed workers changing their driving habits to ensure they wouldn’t be identified as a low performing driver.

Gamification also had a part to play, with drivers indulging in healthy competition and even placing bets to see who would top the driver leader board. This led to an enormous increase in productivity – amounting to $200,000-$250,000 overall.

To hear more benefits of telematics, take a look at the latest Latitude article in FleetOwner, or contact us if you would like to learn more about Mobile Resource Management.
